:: an excerpt from the short story The Activist ::
She wrote all over you for almost twenty minutes, big black inky letters inscribed all over your flesh, mostly one line statements, not sentences. On your head she wrote ‘petrol kills people.’ After she finished she went and found a big piece of white card in the room where Nikko slept. On it she wrote ‘petrol is killing the planet’ in large black letters.
‘Turn around’ Jeannie said placing the sign in your hands. She looked you up and down. ‘Oh my god you look amazing’ she said to you. 'So what are you going to do now, walk around the streets in protest?’ she asked.
'Ah sort of I guess. Maybe you could try going to somebody’s house to watch the news later and you might see what I’ve done’ you said to her.
