(Colour Shade) i can be everything to everyone interprets not only what I see in the places I visit, but also what I see as being silent. It is this silence, or inability to know every layer in a given frame of reference that encourages me to construct narrative spaces where presence is developed through a combination of imaging and imagining the complexity of lived experience, both in the past and in the present. The act of imagining is an act that weaves threads of fiction into my images, resulting in ‘stories’ where fact can only ever be a fiction that offers multiple readings for the viewer. |
